22. She Wolf
Released on July 14 as a  single and to appear on the album of the same name November 23, Shakira’s She Wolf is the newest song on this list. There’s also a Spanish version of the song, Loba, which also has been released as a single and to appear on the upcoming album.

23. Love Potion No. 9
This song is about a man who visits a gypsy who reads his palm and gives him love potion no. 9. He then starts kissing everything, including a policeman who ends up breaking his bottle. There was
also a movie of the same name created, starring Sandra Bullock.

24. Funeral March of a Marionette
This was the theme song for Alfred Hitchcock Presents. It’s played in the show’s famous opening, in which there’s a line-drawing of Hitchcock’s profile in the center of the screen and he walks up to match his shadow with the drawing.

25. Bat Out of Hell
This song is from the album of the same name, which is the third best-selling album of all time, behind Michael Jackson’s Thriller and AC/DC’s Back in Black. Lead vocals were performed by Meat Loaf, with some of the musicians from Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band.

26. Trick or Treat
This is the theme song to the horror film Trick or Treat, which had a big focus on heavy metal music. The cover was misleading to a lot of people since it appeared that Gene Simmons and Ozzy Osbourne were the stars of the film, but they both only had cameo appearances in it.

27. Abracadabra
Following Survivor’s Eye of the Tiger as the #1 hit on the US Billboard Hot 100, Steve Miller Band’s Abracadabra took that spot
in June 1982. This song also holds the record for the biggest drop out of the Top 10/40, moving down from #10 to #48 in one week.

28. Lollipop (Candyman)
Following up on their biggest hit Barbie Girl, Aqua released Lollipop (aka Candyman). It is well known for its music video, which features the band being captured by aliens in outerspace and a small robot saving the day by turning their rayguns into lollipops.

29. The Last Race
This was the theme song to the 2007 film Death Proof. The movie was written and directed by Quentin Tarantino and is about a guy
who kills women by intentionally getting into car accidents with
them in his “death-proof” stunt car.

30. Be Quick or Be Dead
This was sung by Bruce Dickinson from Iron Maiden (different than the “More Cowbell” character) in 1992. It’s about the political scandals taking place then, including the European stock market crashes, the Robert Maxwell banking scandal, and the BCCI case.

31. Welcome to My Nightmare
This is the opening track to the concept album of the same name. The songs in it tell a story about the nightmares of a boy named Steven. It inspired the tv special, Alice Cooper: The Nightmare. The album cover was ranked as one of Rolling Stone’s Top 100 of all time.

Check back tomorrow for 12-21.
